On Thursday I received a special email from the Obama campaign with Barack Obama via video telling me he has opted out of public financing. He went on to say that the system is broken and he said some other stuff (I just can’t remember all of it).
Now senator McCain is going bizerk! McCain said that Sen. Obama’s reversal on public financing is one of a number of reversals … that he has taken,” & that Obama’s move to drop out of the system “should be disturbing to all Americans”. However, as quick as he started criticizing Obama, he then turned around and said THAT HE MAY DECIDE TO OPT OUT TOO. In the words of Arnold from Different Strokes..McCain, what you talking bout???
Do the American people actually care that Obama dropped out even if earlier he said he would accept the money? Since he now has changed his mind, is it, as McCain says” disturbing to all Americans? Well, for this American, NO. Do I think it hurts Obama to “CHANGE HIS MIND ON TALKING PUBLIC MONEY” no! Do I admire him a little more for changing his mind…yes. The fact that McCain now “may” opt out also means that he will flip-flop and that we the people should be disturbed at what he may do? This is stupid people. McCain doesn’t want Obama to look like the good guy for not taking the money.
This move fits in perfectly with Obama’s message of CHANGE.

Yes Akronites, it is that time again. LeBron James will hold his annual King for Kids bikeathon this Saturday, June 21, 2008 with the starting point being downtown Akron. I will definetly be there in the hopes of snapping some celebrity pics.
You might recall that last year around this time the Cavs were in the playoffs, so LeBron wasn’t able to hold the event.

LeBron James will have the task of dressing the Akron Zips players (which is located in his home town of Akon, Ohio) . He will dress them in his specially designed apparel.
According to wkyc.com “The University of Akron Department of Athletics announced Wednesday that beginning this fall, the Zips will wear shoes, uniforms and accessories licensed under Nike and LeBron James”.
The Akron Zip players will wear LeBron’s LJ23 trademark for the next three years.
Do yo thang King James and don’t forget to demand better players around you so that you can WIN IT ALL next season..

The Boston Celtics blew the LA Lakers out the hemisphere last night in an embarrassing win of 131 to 92. Paul Pierce was crowned the finals MVP. The Celtics became the first champion with three leading scorers over the age of 30. The most memorable part of the game for me had to be when Pau Gasol attempted to go up with a layup, however, Garnett had his hand on the other side of the ball. Garnet was not having it and didn’t allow the ball to leave Gasol’s hand and ultimately forced a jump ball.
This was the best game I have ever watched. It would have been nice to see a LeBron James / Kobe Bryant Showdown, but the Celtics were meant to win this series.

People have entirely to much time on their hands. A man in Blaine, Washington is as dead as Ashanti’s career after the steamroller he decided to take a joy ride on flipped over and crushed him to death. He was driving it up a hill when it flipped on him. The man with a couple of friends entered a construction site and started up the piece of equipment.
Ok, is it ever a good idea to drive a steamroller up a hill? I say NOOOOOOOOO!!!

The 1st gay marriage in California took place in San Francisco with Mayor Gavin Newsom presiding. Del Martin, 87, in purple, and Phyllis Lyon, 84, in blue got married by San Francisco in a special ceremony at City Hall in San Francisco, Monday, June 16, 2008. These two ladies became the first officially married same sex couple after California’s Supreme Court declared gay marriage legal.

UPDATE: Yesterday I reported a man who was shot to death after he beat a toddler to death on the side of the road, well police believes the man was the childs father.
The man pictured above is Sergio Casian Aguilar, 27. He parked his truck on an unlit road Saturday night, removed a 2-year-old boy from his car seat and proceeded to stomp, kick and punch the boy to death, authorities said. The boy was unrecognizable when he was pronounced dead at Emanuel Medical Center, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department said.
According to a volunteer fire department chief, Dan Robinson, who pulled over to try to help the tot, Aguilar had a “total hollowness in his eyes” and talked calmly of the boy being filled with “demons.
This is just unbelievable. Seems like everyday, there are children being beat to death by there so called parents. Just makes no sense..
